Bales Worldwide (formerly known as Bales Tours) is a family run independent tour operator established by George Bales in 1947. Within a few years, the pioneering spirit of the Bales family had covered the globe. Their tours now range from Borneo to Tanzania, from Canada to the Galapagos, and Tibet to Morocco, offering a mix of the popular and the unusual. Bales has become more and more flexible over time, in order to truly meet your needs. Wherever you decide to travel and whenever you want to travel, whether it is in 14 months time or just three weeks away, Bales has 60 years of knowledge and expertise to give you a holiday of a lifetime.

Flexible Journeys - Bales offers you the choice of a number of Escorted Journeys and Tailor Made ideas from around the globe, hand picked to deliver you a wonderful authentic experience. Why not extend your holiday even further? Make the most of your time away and add an extension before or after the main itinerary. You also have the choice to upgrade your accommodation to suites in certain hotels and on certain boats or even upgrade your flight to business or first class. Smaller Groups - Bales understands that you might not want to be part of a large group. That's why they limit the size of their groups; on average groups are made up of between 12 to 16 people. For some journeys, however they do require a minimum number of travelers.
Private Transfers and Transportation - Bales knows that, upon their arrival, clients want to get to their as directly and quickly as they can. This is why private transportation is provided that will only take you or your group to the hotel and will not stop to drop off passengers staying at different hotels. For tailor made holidays you are provided with your own chauffeur-driven vehicle. For groups, a coach is provided exclusively for your departure - no more doing a circuit of the town for multiple drop-offs.
On Call 24 Hours a Day - Whether you're traveling independently or in a group, you are provided with contact details of Bales’ overseas agents in your chosen destination and also a 24-hour Bales emergency number.
Single Travelers - Single travelers are welcome on all of the holidays. On escorted group departures a single room supplement will be charged, unless you are comfortable sharing a twin room (subject to availability). Bales has endeavored to keep single room supplements as low as possible.
Welcome Home Calls - Bales Worldwide will call you within 28 days of your return from holiday and ask for your feedback. Customer experiences play a huge part in the company and they really appreciate your comments.
Health and Safety - Your welfare is of paramount importance. Stringent policies are in place to ensure vigilant checking and Bales’ dedicated Health and Safety team is constantly checking and inspecting the hotels, cruise ships, and transportation used in every country Bales visits.

Reservation Policy

Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel or transfer your booking, you must provide written notice signed by the person who made the booking. You will be liable for the following charges based on when the written notice is received: - 56 days or more before the departure date: your deposit is forfeit.
- 42-56 days before departure date: 30% of the total price of the holiday.
- 28-43 days before departure date: 60% of the total price of the holiday.
- 14-29 days before departure date: 75% of the total price of the holiday.
- 3-15 days before departure date: 90% of the total price of the holiday.
- Less than 4 days before departure date: 100% of the total price of the holiday.
