Are You a Tucan Traveler?
Tucan’s clients travel with friends, or as a couple, or on their own - as they know they will be meeting friendly, like-minded people throughout their travels. All Tucan tours are conducted in English, although there are often many different languages spoken amongst various tour groups. Tucan offer five distinctly different styles of travel, subsequently catering to the travel desires of ALL travelers! Their tours have a wide range of departure dates, which are designed to integrate with your holidays, so you will definitely find a suitable trip with Tucan – regardless of when you want to travel!
Tucan Quality & Value
Years of careful research, in order to get the right balance of quality and adventure that is best suited to Tucan's travelers, has resulted in many of the inclusions you will find in Tucan’s tours. Additional experiences, which lift a holiday out of the ordinary realm, are sure to be found throughout all their tours.
An excellent example of this is Tucan’s high-quality Inca Trail program, for which Tucan-appointed guides, cooks and porters with exceptional equipment are employed to ensure you have an unforgettable trek with minimum discomfort. Another great example is the overnight jungle lodge excursion to the Amazon Jungle in Peru, which is always a unique, exciting experience for travelers: how many people can claim to have slept in the Amazon?
Tucan Activity & Fun
This also means exploring the off-the-beaten-track sights. Tucan encourage travelers to be fully interactive, while still respecting local cultures and customs. You’ll also find that most itineraries include various activities –you won’t have to be super-fit, but you will need to be to participate! On many tours there are also extra options, for those who want a real taste of adventure and excitement, such as horseback riding, climbing, and white-water rafting.
Tucan & the Environment
Tucan also carefully selects environmentally sensitive local operators, who will ensure that you respect the sites you visit. Tucan contributes portions of their tour costs to many of the areas they visit, which helps to support the local people and their environment.
Tucan Flexibility
You will find at times that local standards and facilities are not of a similar level to that which you are accustomed to at home: be prepared for the occasional mishap or lack of service, and always remember to pack your sense of humor!
Tucan Leadership
Tucan Tour leaders are carefully selected and trained to ensure that you are in the best hands. Knowing this, you can be free to sit back, relax and enjoy your adventure! Tucan tour leaders are friendly people, and are chosen for their great personalities, love of travel, invaluable local knowledge, and resourcefulness to overcome the occasional setback - probably without you even noticing that there was one! Whatever style of travel you choose with Tucan, you can be certain that you’ll have the best leadership, which in turn will ensure an unforgettable holiday!
Why Group Travel?
More importantly, very few local people speak English in Latin America, and if your Spanish and Portuguese are poor, independent travel around the continent can be difficult – if not a nightmare. All of Tucan’s guides speak a high level of Spanish or Portuguese, so there are no language barriers in any situation.
Well aware of the individual needs of each traveler, Tucan tries to keep their group sizes informal, so you still get all the benefits of independent travel. Tucan’s group tours allow you to see all the sights with new, like-minded friends, or to explore on your own. They provide you with all the essentials you need to make your trip as relaxing and easygoing as possible.
Travel will broaden your mind, expand your horizons, and provide you with a lifetime of priceless holidays, memories, and experiences. So whet your appetite for adventure, and let your journey with Tucan Travel begin.
