Pip & Liliana Tyler
As the original founders of Tucan Travel (which has been in operation since 1987), Pip and Liliana Tyler have spent a lot of their time globetrotting to exciting destinations and familiar hotspots. As Latin American gurus, they work out of Tucan’s Sydney office, doing a variety of tasks – always accompanied by their friendly Golden Retriever Noona. They have a daughter, Shanna, who sometimes pops by and is a lot of fun. When the Tylers aren’t in the office they can often be found traveling through Latin America, Asia and Europe: it's a hard life but someone has to do it!

Matt Gannan is a co-owner of Tucan Travel. He joined the Tylers in 1997 after being snatched from one of Tucan's competitors! Matt runs the London office and offers valuable input into sales, marketing, and brochure production – amongst millions of other things! Matt is an Aussie from Queensland, married to a Scottish doctor named Anne; and, together they have two young sons, Jack and Tom, who keep them occupied.

Tucan Travel has offices in Sydney, London, and Cuzco. Our team in Cuzco provides fantastic back-up and support for all of our tours when they are on the road. Keiko and Justin are supported by our operations team of Peeky, Wags and Rod. Our offices are growing all the time.
| Tucan Travel Tour Leaders and Drivers
Tucan tour leaders and drivers are passionate about Latin America, Cuba and Antarctica. They are friendly, highly-trained professionals, from many different kinds of backgrounds and nationalities. They work in a team to ensure that you have an enjoyable, unforgettable, and adventurous trip. Your tour leaders will be organising all of the day-to-day running of the tours, as well as completing all of the behind-the-scenes work, to make sure that everything runs smoothly - without you even noticing! They will be giving you talks on your destinations, conducting city orientation walks, and providing you with helpful advice – no matter where you are! Your driver will be used to the rugged conditions of the roads in Latin America, and will also be experienced in the maintenance of the vehicle. So sit back and relax: you are in the best hands.

Pictured here are Jack, Frank and Rosita: three of our new “super trucks”, which are, without a doubt, the best vehicles on the road in Latin America. They are managed by our experienced drivers and operate on our Discovery and Overland tours. Tucan leaders will always choose the most suitable vehicle for the style of your tour and the region you are traveling through. This may be either a modern local coach, one of our more robust Mercedes Benz trucks (pictured), or a combination of both vehicles. Some privately hired vehicles may also be used.
